You Are Accepted

“The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” Psalm 118:22

God says you are accepted, you are righteous in his eye, you are redeemed, worthy to be alive and of great value to him. Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Isaiah 49:15

This is God’s promise to his children and to those whom he loves. God knows the number of hairs on your head and we are considered to be worth more than the birds. Luke 12:7

God has carved your name in the palm of his hand and he will never forget you. Isaiah 49:15 Life can deal us some hard knocks and situations can cause us to feel forsaken. There are many broken and insecure people in the world. Many of whom we have to interface with daily. People can be cruel and sometimes walk all over our confidence and be harshly critical of us. We need to keep our identity fixed in Christ and remember what he says about us. That we are wonderfully complex and uniquely designed for a specific time and purpose. Psalm 139:14

How do you handle false accusations and misrepresentations of who you are. Paul said, “Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” Romans 8:33-34

When we are accused, our character maligned and misrepresented, there is a temptation to react in defence of ourselves. Maintain a positive attitude despite the chastisement and in time the truth will come to light. Remember that what is done in the dark will come to light. For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should be revealed. Mark 4:22

God is all knowing and he keeps an eye on the affairs of life. Your chastisement may have lasted a while but do not worry, God will bring it to light. Rejection and ridicule can be hard but stand still and wait for God to restore.
