Stay the Course

“For the Lord God will help Me, therefore shall I not be confounded; therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed” (Isaiah 50:7).

Set your mind on what God has asked you to do and be determined to do it no matter the cost. We need stubborn faith to push through adversity and accomplish our goals. Big dreams and ambitions come at a price and the world will very rarely step aside, to let you achieve what you set out to do. The road to success is full of challenges, adversity, battles and some defeat. It takes a made up mind to accomplish our desires and dreams.

Many people give up or settle for what is easiest and live well below their full potential. It is not easy to overcome trial after trial, stare darkness in the face and dare to shine your light. Jesus understood the emotions associated, with wanting to give up when he said, “father if it is possible, let this cup pass. Nevertheless not my will but thy will be done” (Matthew 26:39). It was his desire to do God’s will and to please the father that kept him going.

The trials that we face now will not always be around. We will not always need to fight and the tests and battles will give way to victory and rest. ‘The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former,’ saith the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place will I give peace,’ saith the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:9).

God wants us to have peace and rest and he will restore much more than we have lost. We will not always need to fight and God will grant us victory and a season of rest. We press through in this current season and trust God that victory is up ahead. He will restore a latter glory, far greater than our former glory. Be resolute in your convictions and work to complete your God given assignment.

  1. Hallelujah i like the concept of stubborn faith.Even Jesus said that this kind only moves by prayer and fasting which means desperate situations needs desperate actions.
We have to insist for for certain things to move even if doesn’t make sense!
