I am a trained Social Worker who currently provides professional leadership on a programme to support Social Work students and Newly Qualified Social Workers entering the Social Work Profession.
Born and raised in Jamaica in a Christian family where my father is an ordained Pastor and Deacon who has served for over 50 years in the ministry. My father is also a trained musician and our family can be described as a musical family. I grew up in a small farming community in St. Peterβs, St. Andrew and my parents also have a small farm.
I credit my gift of writing to my father who I watched and listened to over the years as he wrote sermons, poems and other recitals in his capacity in ministry. English has always been an easy subject for me and over the years I have developed an increased interest in writing.
I am a Trainer, I sing and have a passion for worship, the spoken word and the free flow of the prophetic anointing. I am married to my best friend Andrew Christopher Young who is an advanced Musician and whose music you can find on YouTube and Facebook. I am a trained Coach and Mentor and I love experimenting with food so I love cooking. I enjoy trying cultural dishes from across the world and I view food as an entry into cultures and languages.

Enjoyed this Anneta. You calling out people you knew through the whole episode was funny. I imagine quite a shock at 19 to experience what you did when you went to South Africa. Made me think of my time in Uni- family and friends is what got me through.

ππGlad you enjoyed it Manu. Thanks for watching. That wasnβt even something I planned to do, but relationships with people are important and itβs good to acknowledge those who helped us along the way. Blessings ππΎπ

π I mostly spoke about SA in this episode. I travelled a bit while I worked in this NGO in Jamaica, but the trip to SA was the most eventful and life changing. π

How can I help you dear Frank? This is one of my busiest months at work. God is helping me and next week I have some days off and things will slow down. How are you?

I also went to Night School at Uni- after having our first child. By the time I graduated, weβd gotten married and had 2 children – in total. So much like Rose, it was quite a struggle for me to balance family/children/homework. But thanks be to God for His GraceππΎππΎππΎ

My 14 year old son runs Cross Country for his High School. Now we also live in an all white community, and we have been here for over 20 years, but when my son asked me if he could run ππΎββοΈ through the neighborhood, I was very concerned. He was not a little boy in anymore. Heβs matured now, and looks like a young man-therefore I didnβt want anyone to call the police on him or to hurt/threaten him. The struggle is still very real, particular as we integrate into βwhiteβ communities.
